![]() I have given permission for the Blizzard Installer and all World of Warcraft related programs to bypass Windows Firewall, and I have also temporarily disabled off my antivirus program (AVG). I have tried to reinstall and redownload the content multiple times, including after system restarts and installing on safe mode. I am currently running Windows 7 as an administrator. (The data being read was "MPQs-2\LichKing common\unconditional\Data#lichking.MPQ\World\maps\Northrend\Northrend_22_23.adt", and the error code was 8.) If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. ![]() This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at C:\-for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the installer. " The installer was unable to read the file "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft Installer\Installer Tome 4.mpq". However, partway through the installation, I received this error: I downloaded the installer, and chose the WotLK installation. ![]() The game gave me an error message, saying that my account was upgraded to WotLK level, but did not have the material installed on my computer, and prompted me to download and install the expansion. I recently upgraded to the 10-day trial version of Wrath of the Lich King from a full version of The Burning Crusade on the WOW2 account, and attempted to log in. I've browsed through the stickies, and I haven't found a solution to my problem, so I'll post it here.
